Partnership Announced: Cannonball Motor Speedway and Circle Track Management Group

Circle Track Management Group in Conjunction with the Barack Family Proudly Announce the Scheduled 2012 Reopening of the Cannonball Motor Speedway

Under the joint efforts of the Circle Track Management Group (CTMG), current promoters of the Tyler County (WV) Speedway, headed by WV businessman Frankie Wilson and the Barack family, owners of the Cannonball Speedway,the Ohio Valley will see the speedway roar back to life in 2012. A limited but extremely appealing and diverse 2012 race schedule is in place for the newly reconfigured 3/8 mile track located off State Route 40 near the Morristown exit of I-70.

CTMG, current promoters of the Tyler County (WV) Speedway, have developed a solid reputation in the dirt track racing industry in a very short time. Aggressive marketing and top shelf events such as their Labor Day weekend 'Black Diamond 125' and this season's newest event, the 'Bullring Bonanza', have earned kudos from motorsports scribes because of the unique race formats, and fans and racers alike, who appreciate the top shelf talent and mega-buck paydays that CTMG race events provide.

An exciting 'Sunday Shootout Series' will greet fans and welcome back racers to the tradition-rich facility to square off against some of dirt racing's premier speedsters as they battle to become the 1st 'Sunday Shootout Series' champion. Points and Champions will be crowned in the Super Late Models, TSMA Modifieds, EDGE Crate Late Models, HotMods and ModLite division.

Sunday, May 6 and Sunday, May 13 are scheduled as test and tune opportunities for race teams of all kinds, before Sunday, May 20 provides racing action in earnest with what is being called the 'Resurrection Season Opener'. The curtain raiser will feature a $3,000 to win 'Topless 35' event in conjunction with Tyler County Speedway's 18thAnnual Topless 50 for the Late Models, with the 'EDGE' sanctioned Crate Late Models, TSMA sanctioned Modifieds, Hot Mods, Mod-Lites and Mini-Wedges rounding out the event card. This will also be a 'Black Diamond 125' qualifier for all classes, and will be race #1 in the track's "Sunday Shootout Series".

The 'Cannonball Run' will headline 'Sunday Shootout Series #2" with a June 10th event pitting another full slate of action in the Super Late Model, TSMA Modified, EDGE Crate Late, Hotmod, ModLite and Mini Wedge classes.

'Sunday Shootout Series' event #3 will bring the regions finest open wheel racers to the area as Cannonball Speedway plays host to the widely popular 'Ohio All Star Sprint Speedweek' event. The winged warriors will be joined by the equally exciting 'Renegades of Dirt' Modified Tour for a $1,500 to win event of Sunday, June 24th.

The Friday, July 6th 'Cannonball Carnival of Chaos' show will showcase a 'rock-em sock-em' crowd pleaser for fans of all ages, as monster trucks 'Higher Education' and fan favorite 'Black Stallion' will thrill, and the Kamikaze Jet Quad and Freestyle Moto-X riders amaze fans. TSMA Hot Mods, Mod-Lites and MWRA Mini-Wedges will provide oval track excitement, with all of this preceded by a pre-race Free Pit Party. The evening will conclude with a star spangled salute to the nation's birthday with a giant Fireworks show!

The following weekend (July 13th - 15th) has been dubbed "Jamboree On Dirt", 3 successive nights of racing will jam the pit area with the mid- Atlantic's best Late Model and Modified talent as the hills will come alive for what promises to be one of the 2012 season's 'must see' events. Night one (Friday) will kick off the festivities with a tune-up $1500 to win Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour main, capped off with a STARS sanctioned $700 to win Mod-Lite show. Night 2 (Saturday) will see the powerful Super Late Models converge on the Belmont, OH facility gunning for a $3k top prize. The Renegades of Dirt Tour Modifieds escalate the intensity in their $2k to win feature, and the STARS Mod-Lite winner earns a cool $1k. The EDGE Crate Late Models and TSMA Hot Mods will also be on tap. The 'Sunday Shootout Series #4' will close out the weekend with monster pay days up for grabs! The Late Models main winner will cash a $5k check, while the Renegades of Dirt Tour Sunday night winner pockets $3k in the Jamboree On Dirt weekend finale. The EDGE Crate Lates and TSMA Hot Mods will complete the action packed Sunday docket.

'Sunday Shootout Series #5' will memorialize one of the area's finest racing supporter and ambassador with the running of the 'Beecher Eaton Memorial', a $3k to win Late Model Invitational, a part of the 1st annual 'Icon Memorial Tour' conducted in conjunction with the Elkins (WV) and Tyler County (WV) Speedways. Joining the schedule will be the EDGE Crate Late Models 25 lap, $1k to win 'Adrenalin Tour' event, plus TSMA Modifieds, Hot Mod and Mod-Lite divisions.
