It's back: The
'Cannonball Challenge' for Late Models ...
This
year Cannonball Motor Speedway will pay an additional $500 to the
feature winner every Friday if the driver and car were one of the top
four finishers of a feature at another area track the Saturday prior
to Cannonball's Friday night feature race.
HOW
"The CHALLENGE"
WILL WORK:
Run
at the following Saturday night tracks:
|
MUSKINGUM
COUNTY SPEEDWAY
TYLER COUNTY SPEEDWAY
MIDWAY |
WAYNE
COUNTY SPEEDWAY
PENNSYLVANIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY
ROARING KNOB |
One
Sunday track: LATROBE
Finish
first, second, third or fourth in your feature and you may come to Cannonball
the following Friday night and have a chance to WIN
an ADDITIONAL $500
if you are the FEATURE WINNER that night!
Cannonball
management will verify the top four winners of these tracks weekly.
Should
you become a top-four finisher at one of the tracks mentioned above
and Cannonball's races rain out the following Friday, you are welcome
to race the next Friday.
NEW
to the CHALLENGE THIS YEAR:
Any Late Model car and driver that runs three consecutive Friday nights
at Cannonball will also be eligible for the Challenge on their fourth
Friday night at Cannonball. This applies only to THREE CONSECUTIVE
FRIDAY NIGHTS! Miss one week, start over until you have run three weeks
in a row at Cannonball.
Management
will confirm eligible cars and drivers weekly.
NOTE: This
is to clarify any controversy over qualification concerning the
Cannonball Challenge:
To be eligible for the Cannonball
Challenge you must race at one of the tracks listed below, provided
they DO NOT RACE on Friday night. If or when any of these tracks elect
to become a Friday night track, then those racers are not eligible for
the Cannonball Challenge.
IF ANY OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED TRACKS
HAVE A FRIDAY NIGHT RACE, THAT TRACK WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE
CHALLENGE THAT WEEK!
This rule does not purposely
discriminate against any driver or track.
