Cannonball will start 24 cars in all feature events for 2008.  Additionally we intend to condense the racing program
to begin at 6:00pm and be completely finished by 10:30pm.
We believe we can make this happen because of the new track configuration. Ambulance, fire, and wrecker crews can now work from the infield. Ingress and egress for the race cars is quicker. The wider, super-smooth, dust-free surface
will result in fewer cautions.  

Clairsville, OH (September 3, 2007)—Clint Smith of Senoia, Georgia  showed dominance in the Independent Racing Series sanctioned Cannonball Run event at the
	Cannonball Motor Speedway  in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Monday evening September 3, 2007 after leading all 50 laps in route to the $5,000 payday.
Smith, 42, came to Victory Lane while driving the JP Drilling, Cliburn Tank Lines, Crane Cams, Integra Racing Shocks, Hoosier Racing Tires, CSR Aluminum Fabrication, JFR Graphics, J & J Steel, Base Racing Fuels, Stevens Plumbing & Mechanical sponsored Racetek powered GRT Race Cars Monte Carlo. Clanton, former Dixie Shootout winner, finished second in the main event while driving the RSD Enterprises, Stevens Plumbing, Hoosier Racing Tires, Allstar Performance, Slavic Custom Decals sponsored Custom Racing Engines powered Rocket Pontiac Grand Prix.

NEW TRACK DESIGN

The new track design incorporates a 70-ft wide racing surface and 17 degrees of banking in a D-shaped configuration.  Expected to be one of the fastest tracks in the nation, the new track size is 4/10 of a mile on the outside and surrounded entirely with guardrails.

Flagman, Corner People, Grader Operator, Announcers, Scorekeepers, Website Coordinator, Technical Inspector, and Marketing Sales.
